The Science Center is at the corner of Cambridge and Kirkland and Oxford Streets.
Given the traffic and parking issues in Harvard Square, we would encourage you to take public transportation if possible.
Take the RED LINE toward ALEWIFE from South Station six stops to HARVARD SQUARE.
Take the RED LINE to HARVARD SQUARE. When leaving the subway, take the Church Street exit to the left and take a left along Peabody Street (keeping Harvard Yard on your right). You’ll see the Science Center on your left.
Due to traffic patterns in and around Harvard Square please allow extra travel time.
Take Exit 18 (Cambridge/Allston). Bear right after the toll booth at the end of the exit ramp. At the third set of lights (over the bridge), turn left onto Memorial Drive. After the second set of lights, turn right onto JFK Street. Continue though Harvard Square past Harvard Yard on Peabody Street and bear right onto Cambridge Street. Then take a left onto Quincy Street and a quick left onto Kirkland Street—as you take a sharp right turn onto Oxford Street, the Science Center will be directly in front of you.
Parking is difficult, so please allow an extra 30-40 minutes to find commercial lots and garages in the area. However, please be advised, on Sundays metered parking is free!
On-street parking is scarce in Cambridge, but there are several public parking lots and garages.
As a convenience for our visitors we list below several commercial garages which may offer spaces. None is endorsed by Harvard or by the Admissions Office.
