A Message to Our Applicants
Regarding Online Fees

Over the next several weeks Harvard Admissions will install a new system for processing online application fee payments. Ordinarily we can inform applicants who call about their fee payment status. Regrettably, this service will be unavailable from July 21 until September 7, 2009 while we upgrade our current system.

During this time, candidates who wish to submit their online applications may continue to do so. Regarding fee payments, applicants have the option to:

  • Pay online with a credit or debit card, which may be charged at the time of application submission (applicants will receive an email confirmation from the payment processing website)
  • Mail a check to Harvard Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, 86 Brattle Street, Cambridge MA 02138. Please include the applicant's name and the same address used on the application
  • Submit a fee waiver request through their college counseling offices.

In each case, payment receipt cannot be verified by the Harvard Admissions Office until early September.

We apologize for any inconvenience the suspension of our receipt verification service may cause. We recognize that managing the cost of college application fees requires careful financial planning for most families, and appreciate your patience as we adjust our system to meet a higher volume of online applications.
